U.S. Beauty Sales Are Up in Q1

NPD and SymphonyIRI say prestige and FDMx channels trending similarly.

Leading market research providers The NPD Group and SymphonyIRI Group have announced the first quarter 2011results of their partnered product, the Beauty Cross Channel Monitor, the beauty industry’s only point-of-sale tracking product that looks at sales performance in department stores (prestige) and the food, drug, and mass market, excluding Walmart (FDMx).
